What is Poker?

Poker is the art of bluffing and luck. In poker, players start each hand with an equal amount of chips (often called a “bank”) and the winner (or losers) is determined by the player who is able to guess his/her opponent’s cards correctly. Many casinos offer a wide variety of games, from Texas Hold’em, Eight Card Stud, Eight Card Bonus, Blackjack and to many other variants.

If the dealer is able to get to 21 before the other players, then the dealer will also receive a “Blackjack Bonus” equal to the number of players. This bonus is a fixed amount of money. The more players that are in the casino, the bigger the bonus will be. The less players in the casino, the smaller the bonus will be.

If there are no “players” left and the dealer cannot reach 21, then the dealer is penalized. The dealer’s bonus is no longer based on how many people were there at the table. The bonus is based on the “backing value” of the cards. This is known as the amount of money that is required to pay the dealer at the end of the game. For example, if the dealer has an ace-high blackjack, then they are required to receive a $1000 in order to receive the blackjack bonus.
